What you are buying

For $39 USD, plus any tax shown by Stripe, Gather & Guess, a service operated by Recipe Box Press, supplies one English-language celebration crossword made from facts you provide. The set contains 12–16 clues, US Letter and A4 handout PDFs, an 18 × 24 inch poster PDF, an answer key and a print-and-host guide. Self-service orders also include an optional downloadable offline guest game; its HTML file contains the answers and is intended for friendly play in a desktop browser. Your set uses one chosen design: Champagne Club, Disco Afterparty, Garden Party, Something Blue or Love Notes. You can choose classic, playful or sentimental clue wording; your facts remain the source. The five designs are choices, not five separate puzzles. This is a one-time purchase. Printing, framing and physical shipping are not included.

Your preview, payment and print files

After adding three memories, you can request three sample clues made by leaving a short answer blank in each memory. The preview keeps your wording; your chosen tone applies when we write the full crossword. Requesting this first look does not create an order. To continue to a full crossword, review and submit 12–16 complete facts. We write and check the crossword, then show up to three of its clues with their answer lengths before payment. The sample clues may change when the full crossword is made; the final layout is arranged then. The full puzzle, answers, editor and print files are available only after payment is verified. Preview generation has usage limits; if a preview cannot be made, we explain the problem before checkout.

After payment verification, review the complete clues and answers in your private room. You can edit them, save a new version and check the rebuilt grid. Confirm the saved version before preparing and downloading its PDF files. Grid answers use 3–18 A–Z letters. Resolve the spelling and treatment of spaces, punctuation or accents before printing; the system may require an alternative answer if a complete connected grid cannot be made.

Starting checkout locks the source brief to that order. It does not verify payment or start another order. Once payment is verified, you can edit the full puzzle. If you have already paid, use the payment check or order support instead of paying again.

Your browser can remember your private order room. You may also save its private link. After payment, your payment email address and Stripe receipt number together can restore access on the Your order page while the room is available. Neither your receipt number nor your email address alone can open the room. Delivery notifications are not emailed; Stripe separately sends payment receipts. Download your files before the room’s retention period ends.

Assistance, corrections and earlier orders

One assisted correction round is included, in addition to the editor for supported self-service orders. Send corrections together in the order room within 7 days of receiving access to the full puzzle. Changes that replace the whole occasion or most of the supplied facts are outside that assisted round. Assisted revised files are due within 2 business days of receiving the correction list.

If payment or generation needs assistance, the first usable proof is due within 2 business days after payment and receipt of complete usable facts. Business days are Monday–Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays. This is a support deadline, not a claim about how quickly every automated request finishes.

Earlier orders placed with the original proof-delivery service retain their original terms: a first proof within 2 business days after payment and complete usable facts, one correction round requested within 7 days, and revised files within 2 business days of the correction list. Those proofs and files are delivered through the private room.

Unclear facts or spelling may need a question in your room. We do not invent personal history to make a puzzle fit. If we cannot agree usable inputs or supply a usable puzzle from agreed facts, we refund the order.

Cancellations & refunds

You can cancel for a full refund before the full puzzle or first proof is made available to you. You can also request a full refund if we miss the applicable first-proof deadline or cannot supply a usable puzzle from agreed facts. Report a problem in the order room; we will either make the included correction or refund an order we cannot complete. We initiate approved refunds within 2 business days; the time your bank takes to return funds varies. These terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights.

AI-operated production

This business is operated using AI agents. Cloudflare Workers AI drafts clues from your supplied facts. Software checks answers and puzzle construction; the paid editor and PDF renderer run in your browser. OpenAI agents may assist with production, review and support exceptions. A human designer does not routinely review orders. Your review confirms the personal facts, answer spellings and tone before printing.

Your facts & files

Only share information you have permission to give us and use for this celebration. Keep sensitive details out of the brief: no addresses, phone numbers, health records, financial details or identification documents. We do not need guest lists or photos.

With your permission, requesting the first three sample clues sends your first three memories, celebration type and selected clue tone to Cloudflare Workers AI through our server. This request does not save a brief or create an order room. We do not store those memories or returned sample clues in our database. Temporary request records contain daily hashes of the connection’s IP address and timestamps to limit usage; they contain no memories or clues. AI processing records follow the provider’s retention policies, as described below.

When you submit a brief for a full crossword, we store your brief, messages and saved puzzle on Cloudflare and process the supplied facts with Cloudflare Workers AI for clue drafting. Order content may also be processed with OpenAI tools for assistance and fulfillment. PDFs prepared in your browser can be downloaded there; assisted files may be stored in your order room. We use no advertising trackers.

If you enable “Save my progress on this device,” the title, date, facts, notes, current memory prompt, unfinished answer and any generated first-look clues are saved in this browser. The saved draft is removed after successful brief submission, when you clear it, or on your next visit after 2 days without an edit. It is not available on other devices and may be readable by other people using this browser. Consent is not restored with a draft. Your design choice and fictional sample progress may also be remembered on this device.

The private link contains a random access key; the server stores a hash of that key. Anyone who has the complete link can access the room, so do not post it publicly. Your browser stores the room link to help you return on the same device; your tab may also retain a Stripe session reference until payment verification succeeds. A secure, HttpOnly cookie provides another way to reopen the room in this browser for up to 90 days; it never extends the room’s retention period. Separate recovery credentials are stored only as hashes and are removed with the room. Use “Forget this room” on the home page to clear the remembered link and revoke this browser’s recovery cookie.

For recovery on another device, we compare the payment email and receipt number you provide with Stripe’s records for your verified payment. We do not store the submitted email address or receipt number. Someone who has both details can use them to access the associated room, so keep your receipt private. Recovery attempts are rate limited using temporary hashes of the connection’s IP address and the supplied email address, removed by daily cleanup within 2 days.

Unpaid briefs expire after 2 days. Paid rooms are deleted 30 days after completion or refund. This retention schedule covers the order room and our downloaded working files. AI processing records are governed by the relevant provider’s retention policies; deleting a room does not erase those provider records. You can delete the room earlier using its control; download your files and resolve refund requests first. Cloudflare recovery copies may remain for up to 7 further days.

Routine infrastructure logs may record technical request information, but we do not intentionally log the brief or access key. We retain a minimal transaction ledger of order code, payment reference, amount, status and timestamps for accounting; it contains no puzzle facts or access keys. Stripe processes payment details and retains financial records under its own policies. We never receive your complete payment-card number.

We do not publish customer stories, puzzles or testimonials without separate permission. Public samples are fictional. You may print and share the finished puzzle with your own celebration’s guests and keep your downloaded files indefinitely. You may not resell the template or offer the files as a competing product.

Use your private order room for questions, corrections, cancellation and refund requests. The business inbox support@recipeboxpress.com also receives payment-access and privacy requests. Include your project code and Stripe receipt number for a payment issue, never card details. Ordinary responses use your order room.
